Measure your time, especially if you have to use public transportation or use a car as traffic in very dense throughout the city.

Try to learn how to use the public tranportation (Bus, Subway, etc), as this will help you to move quickly and be able to go to any particular place.

Always carry coins or small bills, especially if you want to buy something on the street or use public transportation.

SECURITY MEASURES
1.- Avoid using your phone, tablet, etc on the street or public transportation, as they could attract unwanted attention.
2.- When you go out and return, look carefuly if no one is watching you.
3.- At night(even at day) try to avoid the long and narrow streets or alleys, thieves tend to surround yourself and then rob you off, sometimes with weapons.
4.- If you get out late from school try to go home accompanied.
5.- If you want to use a taxi, you can ask for it at school or also you can use a safe taxi app.
6.- If someone asks you the hour, tell him a lie, as it’s another common way to rob.
7.- Avoid using headphones on the street, as you could be an easy target to rob, also you wouldn’t be able to hear if something is going wrong.
8.- If you feel that someone is chasing you, cross the street, if he keeps chasing you, run and look for help.
9.- When you are using the public transportation, put all your things in front of you (wallet, phone, backpack, etc).
